It would be nice to see/hear some discussion on making gasser helicopters more 3D oriented. Higher head speeds, lighter and less expensive to repair, and possibly more gear ratio options? They have done a good job so far, but I think there is room for more.

I was thinking that it might be useful to see if we could get FBL contol system Manufacturers to discuss some specifics of utilizing their control systems on gas powered heli's. Also their incorporation of governors, sensors, and tricks or tips to setup of each.

To my knowledge it seems that all the experimentation and development of methods that work with Gassers has been done by heli pilots without much backing from the manufacturer.

At least maybe by inviting them to discuss the gasser application it would force them to pay more attention to it...

Just a thought.

Looking forward to what ever you put together...

Will this discussion or even a video be available for online listening/viewing?

Azalin...

You need to give serious consideration to coming over for IRCHA...
We would really enjoy the opportunity to meet you and show you some down home American Hospitality... Don't worry about having something to fly if that is an issue as I hope to have a couple of gassers by then so you could use one of those for a few flights. Also you could use all my charging and repair tools in the event you brought one of your Helibugs along...

Give it some thought...

Hey Doug,

I am honored for your kind invitation. I most certainly want to meet with you guys but unfortunately I am currently preparing for my wedding. What was the starting date of IRCHA? My wedding will be at 26th August and right after I'll be in my honeymoon for 2 weeks.

Anyways. I'll seriously consider for this.

Thanks Doug. Very kind of you

Officially Aug. 15th-16th-17th-18th-19th but there are people there all week. I have been going up on Mon. for the last 3 years and there is always people to hang out with.

I think the future wife will kill you if you take off that close to your wedding.

Yes the Wedding needs to be your total focus!!!

Doug this makes a lot of sense. There are a lot of guys who want to run FBL on their gasser and from comments throughout the year this would really help. There are a couple FBL companies I am sure that could / would help.

I have no plans to record the video or audio of this, simply because to get it right requires proper equipment and time focus during the seminar. Maybe one of the onsite vendors who have all the equipment already on site might if you ask them.

Default my guess

I assume its the date/time in his original post that started the thread:

Date: Friday August 17th
Time: 4PM
Location: IRCHA Seminar Tent

This sounds really cool, I wish I could make it out there.
