I am looking for a small size battery monitor that mounts on the side of my heli to see my battery status. Does anyone have favorites?

I use lipo alarms from Efliernz here on the Freak.
One problem with abattery level indicator is that much of the time the difference between running hard and time to land in voltage terms is not much. A pack running fairly hard is only about 3.5 volts per cell, and time to stop is around 3.2 - 3.3 volts per cell.

I also use and recommend the lipo alarms from Efliernz.
If you want a "fuel gauge" you can use a WattsUp meter or an EagleTree MicroPower data logger with the LCD display.
