Plugging the 401 into my NER-649s reciever

I am about to hook my gyro into my reciever that came with my 8103 but of course the gyro is futaba and the reciever is jr so my question is...can I just grind the little extra plastic piece on the futaba connector to fit it into the reciever or will this cause more problems? Thanks!

Yes, cut it off. The sides of the connector already have the 'JR Bevel" molded in, orient all the lighter color wires to the top, and plug it in.

Now what channels do i plug the red and black separate gyro cables..Aux 2, aux 3, etc.? Thanks

4 and 5, or rudder and gear.

red=rudder and black=gear is that correct? or doesn't matter?

red= gear. the single wire is the gain setting.
black= rudder, operates as all other servos.
