I have been running Nicad and Nimh in my .50 sized helicopters (Knight 50 and Raptor 50) for the last year or so. The Nicad in my Knight is not holding capacity any more, so I decided to make the jump to Duralites for both machines(especially since there is a sale).

While I am waiting for the batteries to arrive, I thought I would check out the instructions on their website.

They mention "Shock Mounting" the reciever switch. I have the switch mounted to the fiberglass canopy in the Knight, and the canopy is mounted to the frame via rubber grommets, so I suspect that would be considered shock mounting (please let me know if this is incorrect).

The Raptor has the switch mounted in the usual place in the frame (where you reach in through the hole in the canopy to turn it on and off). Would it be wise to move it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've never had a switch problem with one of their reg's mounting it where I'd mount any other switch.
