In the video it looks like the heli blades fold during auto. Is this a result of over tightening the blade grips and as a result the blades can't return to their normal postions if they are pushed out of position or is it because the blade grips are too loose? I certainly would like to avoid something like this.

Now you know what the term "Rabbit Ears" means.

Blades too loose, however, the REAL problem is not maintaining the headspeed while inverted during the auto, i.e. he probably forgot to go to positive pitch when rolling inverted.

The real solution is. . . . . . practice

At the risk of sounding argumentative......

Unless of course it was a "Blade Stop" auto then you would want them to stop, just not fold.
