401 Hunting

I have a 401 with a9254
The problem I am having is a continual hunting on the tail :arggg:
i have a 6EXH radio (yes I know) with the gain set at 60% and the arm is about 14mm out (third hole on Futaba star wheel) messed with gain but just cant get that sweet spot if you know what i mean, any help would be great

Move the ball on the servo arm in/out to keep your limits between 80%- 100%.
That one's HUGE, you MUST do this or it will hunt.
Pop the hub off and polish the lacquer clear off the shaft.
Fiddle with the guides and make the rod move smoooooooooooth.
It's not the 6EXH, while cheap it IS functional. You need to tweak your installation and/or setup.

had this hunting issue, drove me nuts trying to isolate this, tried different gyro mounting location and tape, some fuel tubing on the push-rod to dampen vibration. i was taking the tail apart when i noticed the brass bushings on the tail blades themselves had shifted a little over half way out of the blade, pushed them back flush and ca'd, fixed the hunting.
now running rotortech blades, even better than before.
