so I have my lepton with a kora 15-14 (24 teeth) on 4s. Well, with the stock fg blades it was good. plenty of pop and some but manageable bogging. Still great fun to fly. I felt the fg blades were a little on the soft side so I got some nice MAH cf blades.

WOW, what a difference. The blades were sharper, quieter and much more responsive. The thing exploded upward on full climbout  awesome!!

The negative to these great blades is that it put a lot more load on the amp draw.

Bogging got worse...

So, it seems that my motor may be better suited for 5s and not 4s. I fear that the26t pinion will put even more load on the amp draw and not be so good.

So, what do you'all think? Sell the 15-14 and get a 15-10 or 15-12? I'd hate to lose even more flight time. OR keep the 15-14 and go 5s (big money) OR consider option "X"?

What flight times are you all getting from 4s and 5s?

I got the 15-12. I tried the MS-20 blades and i have the same consequences. The heli is much more responsive because the blades are more rigid and also a good bit larger. But it's giving a lot more work to the motor. too much.

I advise you to go 5S. You will have power and flight time. I would say that 15-14 is indeed the good choice for 5S.

Nicolas,

which pinion you use with 15-12 and what is a throttle level? I use same MS blades with Lepton, stock Hirobo (I know, Hyperion :) ) motor with 23T RevCo pinion - no problems with motor overload.
