Will this MOtor work for Harricane 550 with CC60 on 5S lipo?

Hi guys,

I have this motor sitting around Cyclon Héli 2000 160Gram, dia. 36mm, length 48mm, 45A continuos, 60A max, 3S-5S lipo 2093KV. I would like to know can i use this for harricane 550 on 5s setup with CC60 ESC disable BEC? i had modify this motor to 5mm shaft (original 3.17mm). i'm would like to get my harricane soon :D . Thanks.

The Kv is way too high for the Hurricane 550's available gear ratios. You would have to run 4S batteries to get the rpm down and you would loose all your power.

1400Kv is about max you can run on 6S.

Up to 1800Kv would work on 5S and would probaly fly really well.

If i ran 5S X 3.7V = 18.5V,
18.5 X 2000kv =37000rpm
37Krpm / 13.99 Ratio((61/19)*(61/14T pinion))= 2644. HS
2644.7 X 0.8 eff. = 2115.8 HS

The head speed is a bit fast so make sure you get a Trex 600 thrusted tail installed before you try to fly it or the tail will lock up.
