Guys I dont think I will do OVER AGAIN the servo mounting and tail servo stuff.... It is EXACLTY the same as my previous videos AND I will be using a 9650 so the frame mount servo will not happen.

So what I would like to do is finish it and fly it and report back.

Sound good? If not what would you like to see to finish off this build?

Just a wierd thought. I think it would have been cool if you had set this machine up for a noob. Total docile flight. I know that it would not show too much in a vid, but it might encourage peeps that freak when they see massive 3dzz and get scared off. Just show them easy gentle flight, and how it can be done. :dontknow

Hi Bob

Head setup would be nice as thats the bit I cannot get right.
As I have tried every thing to setup my head but the pitch is all wrong.

Guys to answer your questions

For setting up for a n00b or other choices, and showing the options in the mixer arms for easier throw please see this video I did for the Dragonus Pro which is 100% the same
http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/dragonus&filename=1headngrips.wmv

That above video also shows what the choices are from the RC'er web site

Hi there Bob,

Is it alright if I set mine to A1, B2 and C2, which falls somewhere between beginner and intermediate? Thanks.

What more in the series do you need?
Servo install and head setup is identical to the other dragonus build.

Finless, are you going to do any vids of the first flight? And how does it come pair to the trex?

Bob
Any Chance you will look at or assemble a E-Sky E- Flight They just came out with it and Prices were outrageously low for a 500 class machine. Seems to have the basics and should be something to start with.
Love to SEE AND HEAR your take on this Nubee helio.

P.S. I have one enroute and will post what I learn as I stumble though.

Where should this thread be posted?

I seriously doubt it sorry....... The E-sky stuff I have tried up to date is not worth the time and doesnt fly well in my opinion.

Sorry to here your opinion on the e-flight it is very new, inexpensive and the kit arrived today.

My first impressionis good but I'm a relative nub. The unit came with an alum frame pre assembled head and tail boom.

Finless I respect and admire your thoroughness and will be using every hint from your videos to strip and reassemble this critter. It will be a longish project as i'm budget constrained.

I will take notes and pictures if it seems worthwhile I will kick off a thread on it (not everybody fliys align products)

Next purchase will be a ESC am looking at something in the 80 amp size don't need a bec and may go for 7-123 cells as power. ANY THOUGHTS?

Great vids Bob...as always. I finished my build just before the vids came out unfortunately, but the pro vids left me enough to figure out the differences. I used a 2mm tap to pre-tap the plastic for the screws. I found using about half of the cutting threads on the tap gave the screws just enough of a start to make sure they went in straight. I thought this was especially important for the ball screws since the phillips heads were so small.

Thanks again,

Ed

Any flight video of the dragonus Bob? I was wanting to buy a new head and I'm torn between the Diablo head and the Dragonus head.

Hmmm I though I had shot some vids of it flying but I guess not as I dont see it.

I do have to say the Dragonus head rocks because of it adjustability! In fact I was thinking of putting one on a Trex but havent got around to it yet.
