Thanks guys. ya traveling is some times a real pain. I have 2 Pelican cases that I use. I have to take a bunch of the heli apart, but they fit as regular baggage on the airplane. I have not had any probelms traveling with them.
Should be a good event. I will give an update when I get back.
take it easy,

Eric...
With those cases...do they fit stuff like your starter and all the other miscellanius stuff to get it going? Getting ready to travel myself and trying to figure out if it would be worth it.

I was out at the Vegas FF this afternoon and Eric did the Freaks proud. Other than the guy who saved the Turbine when it's engine shutdown in flight, Eric and Curtis Youngblood were the only two who got the crowd going good this afternoon. The intermittant rain showers didn't help the number of flyers wanting to fly. Hopefully tomorrows predicted chance of SNOW and more rain will not be a big factor. Looks like a good turnout of people here already and I hope to get a flight or two in myself. :D

Alan said he flew in the morning but was chillin this afternoon. I didn't get in from the BOON DOCKS till after 1pm.
HEY..... Here I IS. (Fat guy on the right, in the red  Roll Tide) This is under the Magnum tent that Buzz arranged. It was much appreciated. Some of the guys in the pic are from Colorado and a few from California. These Colorado guys have made some CNC modifications to make their raptors fly better in the high altitudes of CO. They do really well at more normal lower altitudes.
OH YEAH...Buzz was sitting down behind me and I had a hard time paying attention to Rick talking to me with Buzz grabing my ass  Little did he know I had a good :badair: waiting to happen!

Had a heck of a good time out in Vegas. Just got home and getting wound down after the flight. Weather was not very nice, but we got to do some flying so that is all that counts. Even brought everything back the was I took it their :)
I use one case per Heli. They are Pelican 1700's. You need to do quite a bit of disassebly, but it only takes about 20 min per heli to reassemble. They are just handy for airplane travel as I seldom get any questions. They are also sized for normal baggage and they weigh about 30 lbs loaded up.
Alan Jr put of a heck of a good show Sat afternoon. He kept trying to rub the ground, but just could not quite get it :D Alan, Alan jr, and Danny are really awsome guys and it is really nice having such a good family in this hobby.
Curtis flew awsome as usuall. He did some of his climbs to the moon and then autoed down to his feet. Lots of speed and precition really show his abilities.
Lots of other great fliers where flying all weekend and overall it was a fun event. Wish more of you could have made it!

Vegas was great...but man did the weather get the best of us! I had the flu since Friday morning and did my best at the field but it was a killer.
None the less Eric flew great and wowed the crowd, even Curtis was saying "Man this guy is really popping it"
Good to see you guys out there!
