Greetings all.
I have been having a wonderful time with my Blade CX2 and I'm already eying up the trex 450. Getting much better at my cx2- it's been almost 6 months.
This has happened twice: I will be flying just fine. All of a sudden the bird will FALL out of the sky. No response to the control as it falls down. This obviously results in repairs and disappoinment.
Has anyone heard of this? Could it be battery load? Both times seem to have happened after flying for awhile, and after being up high, on the decent.
Thanks for ANY help!

Mine will do it if I let it get more than 15ft from me, it may have something to do with the receiver ant. being so short on the 4-in-1 one about 1 1/2" on top and 11/2" on bottom... I'm looking for a solution myself...

simple. as soon as your hooked go out and buy a dx7 you can bind the cx2 rx to the dx7. or you can just buy a dx6 and swap out the rx's
btw my ar6000 rx ant. is the same size. eflite radios glitch like crazy.. could also be the batterys are low...

most likely it is a bad signal as you get higher. it could be a bad connector on your battery as I learned on my trex yesterday. a dx7 is a good choice sense you seem to have plans for a rex you'll need it anyway.

what would some pros and cons be between the dx6 and dx7? What more do I get for the extra couple hundred $$?

in all honesty the dx7 is the best way to go. the dx6 is the 2nd best if your on a budget...
the dx7 has 5 point throttle curves, and pitch pitch curves
the dx6 has 3 point throttle curves and pitch curves.
the dx6 in idle up has a preset high stick of 100%
the dx7 has model match, wich means that if you have more then one heli, and you try to fly a different bird then the model selected on the dx7 it wont work. the dx6 does not have this.. the dx7 has 2 idle up modes. the dx6 only has normal and idle up. id like a dx7 cuz i plan to go futher into helis up to a 600, or a .90. im going to need a dx7 for that. but as for my needs right now the dx6 fulfills them.. i also got my dx6 for 80 bucks...
