Guys I have my stock Hurricane with the 850kv motor and 50 amp esc. I currently have some Evo2170 and 2500 packs that I just got. so far I am happy with this setup but head speed is a bit low and cyclic is slow. I am not after a 3D monster but i do want much better rolls, I want to be able to do nice funnels, flips and continuous rolls and hopefully get 4-5 minutes of flight from my current packs. I am not a stick banger and i have been flying Heli's mostly 50 nitro and Trex 450's for 5-6 years. so my flying style is not likely to change too much from here!! I would say I am more of a mild flyer.

So with that said what are my options on Motors and WHY!! the Gaui 1100kv or I see the Z30 and also the Z20? any pluses or minuses and why? right now I really don't want to go with large then 2500 packs, but I can handle 5 minute flights 4 minutes is a tad low but possibly worth it. typically I would fly 5-6 minutes even if I had fuel left on my Nitro's.
I also have a buddy who has a extra Align 75 esc I can grab if needed

I've tested Gaui 1100kv with RCP 500mm blades with TP 3s 3300mah and 2400mah packs.
With stock gearing with 15T pinion, the head speed is 2780 in the beginning. I got a tad over 3min with 2400 and 4:15 with 3300
I just reduced the pinion to 14T and the initial head speed was 2650. This goes down about 200 toward the end of the pack.
Gaui supplies 13T which will drop another 100-150 rpm and that will result in increased flight time but good for sport flying.

hmm 13T. Havent seen them yet.
And dropping another 100 - 150...so that makes 2500 HS.....Still sounds like a lot of 3D to me :D
