Hi,
I just tried the my setup with GAIU 1100kv, new gears and new motor mount. My 75A Align ESC has served me very well earlier with the stock motor, but now I have the feeling that the previous motor was more powerful. I will try with higher timing tomorrow, hope it will be better.
Someone using this combination ?

Tried highest timing today and it seems to give lot of more power, HS is scary with 90-80-90.
The motor gets really hot after a 5 mns flight, had same problem with Align 75 ESC with 850 kv stock motor, so maybe normal after all ?

Hi,
My stock motor stayed relativly cool with my CC P80 esc.. I upgraded to the new GAUI 1100 kv motor. That one seems to be running hot now. Still fiddling with the settings. The new motor has a lot more power then the stock one tough.
What lipo are you flying?

Hi,
I am using Hyperion 5s 3700 and Enerland 6s 3200, both are really good match for the motor and Heli I think. I use cheap chinese 2200 3s lipos also, but they are running hot compared to the high quality lipos, but good in order to get stick time.

Hi,
Flying A123 7s. But flighttime is close to 4 minutes. I was hoping to get a bit more out of it. I still have some issues with lower HS in combination with the govorner on the cc p80 ESC. Just ordered a set of the new RCP 500 mm CF. Maybe it changes something because the weight of them is much less then the MAH 515 mm CF blades i'm using now. At this moment my motor is running hot at high rpm and at lower rpm i can't get rid of the tail wag produced by the govorner (no matter what gain settings)
I like the short charging time on the A123. But i would like some more capacity to improve flight time for sports flying. I want to be able to switch between "high power" and "sports" so i can have a bit longer flight time when doing some orientation practise.
I might go looking for some 6s lipo packs as well. Too bad we dont have that great Flight Power support as they have in the US. (warranty replacement and reduced price on a new one once you've blown your fp pack) I looked at the official FP distributers page in Belgium......the prices :arggg:
(Maybe one of the flight power USA peeps can make a comment on this here?)
