Hi,
I just installed a Eagle Tree Data Recorder.
I am using the brushless RPM Sensor.
So how many Poles has the old stock motor? Is it 18?
Thanks,
Carsten

Thanks! I counted the stator, but could not see the magnets good enough to count.
So that means (just curious) there are 36 physical magnets in the motor? (18xNN 18xSS)

Seems its a 9 Pole. After setting to 9 Pole and adjusting the gear ratio (it should be 9.something, forgot) to 11.7 the readings are in sync with my RPM-Meter.

the original motor's spec's in better terms are 3518/6 or 3518/7. it's wound distributed LRK with 6 or 7 turns of 5 x ~28AWG and has a 10 pole 20 magnet rotor :)

Ok, that would explain the error in the measurement here ;-)
Where to get this information from? I did a forum and google search with no results....
Thanks!

i pulled the motor apart and looked lol ;)
i also wind and build my own motors :) in fact i'm about to wind up a scorpion motors 3032 kit for my hurricane550, this should well surpass both gaui motors in efficiency and performance, and if i'm still not happy with the performance the 3032 will be replaced by a 4020 scorpion motor kit when they get released :D

Well, I don't know that I will ever use that information but I will certainly file away in my data banks.
Very much appreciated there Happy|Harry and Calli.
