I was a lucky husband this week when my missus bought me a Blade CP Pro for my birthday, the plan is for me to use this to learn then move on to day a Trex later.

Anyway the question is which make and model Radio would work with the out of the box CP pro but would be also good for a future buy for when I move on to a new heli, as my 11 year old is already bighting into my flying time and I havent passed it on yet :-)

Thanks

dx6 or dx7

those are the only 2 options.. well any other radio will work. but for glitch free flights dx or dx7

youve got to get a few upgrades for the pro to fly better. freestyle hobbies has a 100 belt drive tail kit, you also need a head holding gyro the g90 will work, id say upgrade to a brushless system for alittle longer flight times but the added power and hs of the brushless system helps . switch to eflite carbon fiber blades if you fly mainly over grass.

i would say that the brushless system would be a good investment. I have it on my cp pro and it runs great. another thing would be a super skids landing set. I have it on my cp pro and the landing gear has't broken or even bent through the crashes i've had. And yes the dx6 or dx7 is also a good invesment cause with a dx6 or dx7 you could just switch them to your trex later on.

If you don't wanna spend $80 for the belt kit on freestyle hobbies, invest in a Direct Drive tail kit at least, don't leave the tail stock or you'll never get it to fly right

I have a DX7 radio and i havent looked back since. The Radio is the single biggest improvement to the CPP in my opinion. It will tame it down tons, plus you can use the DX7 on anything else you feel the need to. I wouldnt dump a bunch of money into the CPP though, save up for something else. It seems like you can never have just one (or two, or three) helicopters!!!
