I have had two, new 4300 Mah Duralite batteries on the dual charger for about six hours now.

The lamp for the left side output flickers if you disturb the cable. The one on the right stays lit.

I get the same result if I swap the cables, the one on the left flickers and the one on the right stays lit.

I think something may be intermittant in the left side of the charger. Also, after all this time, I would think both lamps would be out (six hours is the approximate charge time, per the instructions.

Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

Six hours may or may not be long enough for the first charge. I would say if the lights do not go out in 12 hours then something may be wrong. You can't really overcharge the packs with the Duralite charger.

David,

Thank you.

By the way, the left side of the charger seems to indicate a full charge about an hour before the right side.

Swapping battery leads, the battery that appears to have about fully charged (from the left side) will charge for another hour on the right before the light starts to dim.

I just want to make sure that I understand what is going on before I fly.

Thank you.

The compontents in the charger may be just a little different from one port to the other. Resistors and such have a plus/minus spec on there ratings. So two compontents rated the same can be different slightly. At least that has been my experience when buying them.

Q. I notice when I am charging the pack and the charge light has gone out when I go to touch the pack the charge light sometimes comes back on.
A. This is due to static electricity and is not a problem. Just measure the voltage of the pack and insure it is fully charged.

Q.My charger LED lights flicker near the end of the charge process.
A.This is a normal operation for our chargers as the battery nears the end of the charge cycle.

From the Duralite web site.
