When I was flying the other day the engine suddenly stopped and I had to auto my heli safly down to the ground. The behavior I'm seeing from the speed control is not listed anywhere so I guess I need a little bit of help to diagnose what's wrong with it.
I'm using it in my TT Raptor 50 v2 along with the Z-Power Z50T 2core 600kv Brushless engine and a 10s 3700mAh pack from Flightpower. What happens when I plugin in the pack is that the speed control first flash 3-4 times very fast, then 11 or 12 flashes not quite so fast and to finish off the same 3-4 flashes as it started with. After that, nothing. No beeps and the engine doesn't turn at all. If I increase the throttle it starts to flash at even intervals, kind of the same speed as the 11 to 12 ones above. Same thing happens if I plug in a different engine I have laying around(that I know is orking). I've also tried with a different receiver and that didn't help. Plugin n a servo on the throttle channel gave me the exact movement on the servo as I expected(0-75-75-75-75 as throttle curve).

Updating to the latest software using the castlelink didn't help. I'm able to enter programming mode (except that I don't here any tones, only the led flashes).

Any thoughts of what could be wrong?

You have cooked the capacitors on it.
Same thing happened to mine.
Its caused by the sudden rush of volatge through the capacitors initial connection.
Or most commonly the sparking when you connect the pack.
There is thread here about how to stop that sparking and limit the inrush of voltage until the capacitors can handle it.
It sucks I know, shouldnt happen IMO.
