hey guys i changed a few parts on my 450 pro v2 last night and now have a problem, i replaced the tail slider shaft and gear, put the kde tail up grade on and did the tail flip mod, i also put the metal slider bearing on, evrything is tight and no loose parts, when i took it up in normal i had no tail wag at all it held good i switch to iu1 and the tail vibrates side to side really fast like you make a machine gun sound! iu2 it got better my setting were

Nor. thr curve 0,80,80,80,80
iu1 90,90,90,90,90
iu2 100,100,100,100,100

pithch curve normal 40,50,63,75,100,
iu1 30,50,63,75,100
iu2 25,50,63,75,100

gyro norm 56
iu1 48
iu2 44

i started playuing with the thr curve and put iu1 at 95,95,95,95,95 and iu2 left alone i had to change my gyro to this to get rid of the shake
gyro nor 65(normal procedure to set it up)
iu1 26
iu2 23

now the shake is gone but something is not right 65 to 26 is a big jump my set up is 3gx dx8 stock alighn servo kbdd tail blades any help would be great any ideas on what to check

Check the bearings in your tail grips. Same symptoms.

Sent from my phone, excuse the bad grammar and auto corrections.

The bearings fail for fun on these tails mate. I had a bad one out the box and another failed 2 flights later. They feel fine on the bench but get notchy under load.

Maybe you got a bit of loctite in a bush/bearing if your convinced the bearings are good?

thats possible but those are boca bearings with 10 flights on them and i didnt take the blade grips apart just flipped the links and rotated the grips around so not possibe to get lock tight in the blade grip bearings

every thing is moving smoothly and no locktite in any bearing or bushing i still think 65 down to 25 is not good ....anyone?

Did you redo the DIR setup for tail?

As said above - this heli does take it's toll on tail blade grip bearings.

Usually the sign that the bearings are failing is rapid tail osc when doing piro flipping manouvers and high speed turns.

You could try turning down the tail lock gain too.

well i got home last night and looked everything over and i had already done the tail set up when i did the mod, everything looks good but i did notice the tail slider shaft gear is not cut right as you spin the blades you can see the gear wobble a little i didnt change it i applied some one way bearing grease to the tail gears and took it up and presto no shake i was able to bring my gyro gain back up into the 50 range....hmmmmm i will prob change that slider shaft but go figure it needed to be greased:thinking

First, using gyro sense or endpoints. Makes a huge different in gain values.

could you please explain a little more what you mean bad.....thanks

In the initail TX model setup you have a choice, Aux 2 =Aux 2 or Aux 2 = gyro
aux 2 = aux 2 is using endpoints and aux 2 = gyro uses gyro sense menue

i have aux2 set to gyro
Then your using gyro sense and for HH settings must be >50 and during setup for ease of detting delay set normal < 50 and then change back to > 50 Led should go from red to green wheh passing over the 50 and green ro red when going under 50.
Led should be green and gain 70 for starters in all modes
