any ideas on setting up the G90 gyro with the dx7 radio?
Right now I have the yellow gain lead from the gyro not attached to the Rx and I have to make the gyro gain adjustment on the gyro itself.
What I want to do is make the adjustment remotely like it was with the stock TX with the knob on the Tx. But how do I set the Dx7 tx up to run the gyro remotely
Also, when I punch the collective up, the tail doesn't hold as well as it did before due to the increase in torque
Any ideas? not sure on the settings
Thanks

honestly i found messing with the gaim remotely a big PITA.. so i cut the wire off my g90. and adjusted it on the gyro.. i had it setup in about 2 minutes or less.
int he dx7 book there should be a chapter covering the gear channel...as for the tail
belt drive kit or grab a esc like the castle creations pixie 20p.. the belt drive the BEST way but the aftermarktet tail esc does a really damn good job..

yep the increased hs the dx7 allows you to add really does a number on your tails ability to hold. untill you get/decide to upgrade the tail try setting point 5 (the max point) on your throttle curve to around 80% and the other points accordingly. that may allow your current tail to hold a little better. play around with your curves to get a good head speed and tail hold. :)

ThanksI agree w/tx on this, i have heard of a few ppl that have had problems with trying to set gain remotely on these lil birst, but if you want to give it a go...
1. plug that single wire connector into the GEAR channel of your receiver
2. set the GEAR switch to GYRO in the dx7 setup menu
3. once step 2 is complete there will be an option in that model's setup menu for setting the gain percentages on the gear switch. mine were 70 (hh) and 30 (std)before i disabled remote settings...wait i think that's the setting on my t-rex...but you get the idea.
Good luck,
Ed
