Hi Piranha,

You don't need any upgrades, this heli flies great out of the box. And when i look at the electronics you are going to put in the heli, to me everything looks ok !

Maybe you can consider the 2in1 Bec from Align with the built-in glow igniter !

Dirk

Basic kit just has belt drive tail and plastic rather than glass fibre canopy. Otherwise stock it good - some people have had plastic fan probs so maybe worth ordering a metal one - 3DX one seems to satisfy people best at present. your servos, gyro and engine setup looks great. If you're gonna keep the belt drive get metal pulley upgrades otherwise get it as is and fly !!

Hey Mercuriell,

The Sport package come with metal pulleys for the belt drive, so no need to upgrade !

Thank you guys:)

Dflyer, do you think that built-in glow igniter is really needed? And one more question, do I need a special starter shaft(is it not the same as Raptor's one?)

Hi Piranha,

The built-in glow igniter is not a must, but it's very handy, you don't have to take a glow plug igniter to the field. You don't need a special starter shaft, it uses the same one as the Raptor does !

Thank you, Dirk :)
Could you be so kind to advice parts for crash kit?
I know about main and spindle shaft, main gear and landing gear but maybe some other specific parts like some mixer arms in the head and so on?

Luckily i did not need any crash kits !

But if you're flying the Sport version i would include in the craskit the following items :

Mainshaft + spindle + skids (as you stated)
Back up some linkage rods and ball links
Tailboom
Electronics Tray
Flybar
Maingear
Canopy mounts (i think they will break easily in a crash)
And mayb some mixing and washout arms !

That's about it, and that's what i have laying around if i would have a crash !

Dirk

Just FYI as another fan option is the new metal one Align has released for $20. Only problem is it hasn't made its way over here yet that I've seen. My plastic one has been just fine after 15 tanks now but I think I might get the Align one when it reaches our shores.

I bought the 3DX fan but I have not flown it yet. The quality looks very good. Some of the guys I fly with had problems with the plastic fan losing gov magnets so I skipped the problem and just installed the metal fan.
