I am going to give a bit of an early review on my new muffler.....

The quality is amazing, double vibration dampened via rubber between the muffler clamp and muffler, also contains double o rings in the header. The great thing about this muffler is that you get a two piece design, yet the header actually bolts into the muffler clamp.

Noise level is amazing with this muffler. I wish I had a decibel meter to compare this with my friends MPII. I know it is quite a bit different. In flight, the noise almost disappears as you move away,,,,,,someone said it was as close to electric noise as you might get with IC.

Concerning size,,,,we compared it to the size of a stock TT 60 muffler and it is about the same length (tiny bit longer) but about 25% larger in diameter (just a guess but very noticable).

So far I could not say anything more than this is a must buy for anyone who likes the quietest/best performing muffler for the Hyper or any 50 sized engine.

Thanks

charles,

The picture at that link is for an OS37 muffler, a one piece, that looks nothing like what you described in your post.

Could THIS MUFFLER (http://www.fun-tech.info/Line_UP/a131_hn50tf_left_syosai.htm) be the one you were referring to? This one seems to better match your earlier description...

Thanks,
David

David,

You are right about the picture,,,I copied the wrong link. On the other hand I am now not sure where I found the right link.... It is on this site, my japanese is not very good so finding the link is a problem unless I find the picture.

Thanks

I know that this is an older thread,
but I use the HN-50 on my custom Caliber 50 and it's a great muffler.
Has plenty of power and the sound is really nice.
My recent crash onto a gravel paring lot left it scratched up, but I don't care :)
It will still fly like a dream.
Check my gallery for the pic...

you might be able to polish the scratches out with some "Mothers chrome and aluminum polish" comes in a red labled white plastic jar at your local Autoparts store...this stuff works awesome for any metal
