I have done a search but nothing came up.
Assembled main grips as per manual and the grips are very stiff on the f/shaft.
I have checked over the parts and all are ok and in the correct order.
I greased the thrust washers and put a little on dampers to add the shaft insertion.
Are the grips, when tightend down normally stiff? I have been turning them around by hand to try and free them up but they are still no looser.
What is the cause guys.I think the dampers are to thick because every thing is free untill the final nip down of the cap screws. Hopeing for a remedy to a common problem and not a one off.

Double Double check that thrust bearing make sure you have it together right, and check and make sure you have the brass washer turned the right way. Mine turns smooth as silk. Hope you find the problem.

Thrust washers are assembled in the correct order with triflow grease.
Brass washers with rounded side are also mounted correcetly.i have checked and double checked. No mistake here.Mine are no way silky smooth.Friction for sure.I was hopeing this was a common problem people have run into and a fix is known.I will have to do some searching.

I've read a lot about the MiniTitan but not heard this one before.
So I hope you can find something on the subject.
Mine is also very smooth after assembly, I'm using my second set of grips now.
Don't want to sound silly but recheck the dampers thickness and the inner-depth of the cavity they have to go in.
With mine the dampers went in very hard at first (completely in i mean), first squeeze them with pliers to make them more flexible and soak them in Oil or grease before you put them in, I also used pliers on the head(with caution) to make sure both dampers went in all the way.
If the problem is still there, there must be something wrong with the dimensions.
Either the size of the head, grips, spindle, bearings, dampers or washers.

Quadruple check and recheck. Look at each bearing individually and make sure the thurst bearing rotate freely when assembled and twisted between fingers with strong pressure. maybe try some new brass spacers and triple check that they have the tapered side facing the bearing.
The design of a head with thrust washers should move freely even if the spindle was a bit short or the dampeners to large/tight. This is the purpose of the thrust washers to keep the grips rotating freely even with lateral force.
I must say I suspect thrust washer assembly is your problem. Pay close attention to the fact that one each side of the thrust washer has a different diameter hole in the middle. It may not function properly when installed backwards.
Sorry I know you already rechecked, not trying to say anything except that imo the prob is in there somewhere. Hopefully you will figure it out.
Good luck, Noah

everyone i have spoke to as said "you must have something wrong" but this is not the case.
I have looked at every bearing(sealed ones).tried them glued and unglued in the grips.
The 4 brass domed washers are all the same shape and quality.
The thrust washers when assembled and pressed between finger and thumb turn smoothly,The tapered halves are on correct sides.
Dampers are now same size, 5mm.
Feathering shaft not bent and looks well made.
This is just a silly problem where i can not find a cause.Phoned the shop i got it from and they said to run it and it will free up but i have put it to one side now.feed up with it.

You didnt mention if you checked that the thrust washers were installed in the correct direction. It has three pieces: The two doughnut shaped sides and the bearings that sandwich in the middle. The two side are not identical. One of the two will fit snug on the spindle. The other has a bit of slop. reffer to the manual and make sure that the smaller & and larger center hole halves are in their correct position in the grip.
If you have check that also then you have me stumped as well.

lost count of the times i have checked the thrust washers,And always make sure the tapers are in correct position.
The manual says, large taper NEAR hub and small taper NEAR grip.

Well I thing we are all stumped with you. Maybe like ericW said

Possibly one of the parts is out of spec and needs to be replaced with a new one.

It's a new heli that hasn't been on the market for long and is going to have a few bugs to work out. Thanfuly TT has been working out some of the kinks. The only serious thing I found was the upper and lower mixing arms are way to flexible and shity. Get the metal arms and it will fly and track great!
Oh my budies Mini-titan main Blade grips were notchy and snug like mine.... he now has 200+ flights without any problems. I haven't asked him if his are still snug. Don't let it get to you and go have fun building.

Where are people purchasing the metal upper and lower mixing arms?

I usually order my MT stuff here.
https://www.amainhobbies.com/index.php
They carry all of the TT al head parts.
There are some cheaper sites out there but amain is local to my house so I use them & can do local pickup. You'll have to hunt around for some better prices.
I know that alienrc.com has a smokin deal on a complete TT al head. There prices are much cheaper than any others I have seen, But they are overseas and have expensive slow shipping. I plan to order complete al tail from them when I get the extra cash.
I used the align 450SE v2 set that comes with upper & lower arms for $30. you can find the align stuff anywhere.

Do like Noah says Get the t-rex V-2 metal mixing arms, they work fine, and why your at it upgrade all your Balls and balllinks to T-rex size, you will have to drill all the hole to 1/16th but its worth it.
