well i want to step up from my T-REX 450, and was looking at the logo 14 and this setup.
-Mikado Logo 14
-Hacker A50 14S (10 Pole)
-Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32
-3x Futaba S9650
-2x EVO 25 3700mAh 5S
-2x Thunder Power TP-535
-2x Thunder Power TP-205V
-Hobbico 5/12V/11.5A Switched Power Supply
-Futaba Gyro GY611 + S9256 Servo
-Digital Regulator 6V w/HD Switch
-Duralite Step Down Voltage Regulator
-17T 6mm, module 0.7
-$100.00 800w portable generator to run power supply at field
i dont know much about those chargers... if they have a built in balancer or they need a seperate one.
all this will set me back a cool 2400.00 which is about 400 more than the 600 i was setting up and this is way more powerful.
i also setup a 600 on 10S like this and it put me back almost $3000. so for 10S i'll go with this.

Drop some weight and dough and ditch the seperate rx lipo and regulator and use a Western Robotics BEC. Next don't bother with the A50-14S 10 pole as it runs hot and is a mah power hungry motor. Orbit 30-12 or Actro 24-4 are good options for motors. If you can get a single stick lipo I prefer the 10S1P 3700mah stick, however if you are set on series setup what you listed is fine.If you are not stretching it remember you can only run 580mm mains on stock boom, have fun. :smokin:
Heres my modified list of what to get, its whatim running and its awesome!!!
-Mikado Logo 14
-Plettenberg Orbit 30-12
-Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32
-3x Futaba S9650
-1x Flightpower EVO25 3700 10s1p
-2x Flightpower V-Balancer
-Schultz Chamelon 6-636, or a Bantam 902, or dare i say it, Thunderpower 1010
-MAAS 40A power supply. 12A simply isnt enough, charging 10s at 3.7A will take about 12A out of the power supply, i charge at 5A and it takes 16A
-Futaba Gyro GY611 + S9256 Servo, or get a V-bar head as the gyro on that is awesome, and so is the Vbar!
-Duralite Regulator 5.1v reg
-Flightpower EVO RX 1320mAh 2s1p
-10T Module 1 gear. If you cant get that, 14T on mod 0.7. Both will give you 2100-2300 on the head, but the mod0.7 is a bit pushed at this speed and will strip
-$100.00 800w portable generator to run power supply at field which will work fine
If you can wait a month or so, the Logo 600 will be out, which is better than the 14 they say. ANd then you can use standard servo too, which means better cyclic responce, as the 9650s are being pushed, esp with the V-bar head. Also the 600 can run 600mm blades without being streched. I have a streched Logo 14 though, and 600mm Radix are my favorite blades so far. I might try the new textured V blades, but i prefer the radix over the old style V's

Yea that list looks good, I have ran that setup as well with 15Tooth and Mod .7 gears, worked very well. As I mentioned I run the BEC though, for abit of weight saving and the new 5AMP ones work very well with no loss.

well see i worked it out. the 2 5S batts the 2 chargers and balancers, and the power supply all came out cheaper than the 1010, 210, powersupply, and 10S1P 3700. thats why i chose to go this route. ohh yea and yes i'll be running them in series.

yea i saw that. but im a fan of the 14, i dont need the latest to be the greatest. :glasses2:

i'll look at this today.

Orbit 30-12 or Actro 24-4
any other suggestions on motors?? NEU motors? or other suggestions?
how about the NEU 1912/1.5Y w/Fan?

hey guys is it possible to connect the 205 balancer to the TP-535 charger??? this would really help.
thanks in advance

The Kv of the 1912-1.5y is too low for 10s and if you go with the 1912-1y you'll have to use a 10t pinion and gear mesh will be a problem and gears won't last long.

The NEU 1912/1.5Y w/FAN has a KV of 540, with a 17T pinion i'll get 2200HS. the Kontronik Tango 45-06 has a KV of 640 which would require a 14t pinion to get 2180HS. the Actro 24-4 has a KV of 570 which would require a 16t pinion to get 2200HS. the Orbit 30-12 has a kv of 650 which would require a 14t pinion to get 2200HS so why not the NEU motor with that pinion?? whats the difference between all these motors with the selected pinions???

In theory you're right , but the thing is that each motor has a sweet spot where they produce their power @ Xrpm's , the 1912-1.5y on 10s will spin +-20,000 and Neu's Orks likes 25-30k , The Orbit and Actros are happy at lower Rpm's 20-25k.

so basically they all have a sweet spot where they make the most torque and power.
