I put a brand new swash on my Shuttle a month or so ago after my first crash (it was an old, maybe 13~14 year old ZX with the old molded in plastic ball joints swash). This new one had metal balls assembled at the factory and has been fine until a friend fortunately noticed today that the elevator link ball had a crack above where it is attached to the swash.

I haven't been doing any acro with it, and haven't crashed since changing it so I can't see why it would develop the crack unless it was a defect.

Good news is you can reverse the swash and put the weakend portion on the... what's it called guide thing on the back... and continue to fly without fear of losing elevator control. But I decided to go ahead and order a metal upgrade swash just to be safe.

Has anyone else seen this, with low milage swashes?
