What time do most people plan on showing up? I understand the "heli side" is best after noon, because the flight line faces east. I'll be there around 2-3pm.

My friend Jay and I plan on making the drive up from Albany early Saturday morning. I'll be flying my 600n and Jay will be wringing out his Synergy. See ya there.

I'll be there at 9am to open the gate. The heli side is best in the afternoon but the airplane side is good all day plus there is more room to fly.

There is no flying before 9 at CCRC on saturday and any otherday besides sunday on sunday its 12. Cause of the sudivisions around the field.

now that just sucks.
All AMA sites have rules as these, my club you can't fly before the same cause of neighbors, its respect for them.

I never understood the difference between a RC then someones neighbor cutting a tree down at 8am.. just something for them to fuss about.

now that's a misleading statement if there ever was one. Not all AMA sites have to follow those rules, please provide proof supporting this statement.
Each club is required to negotiate with their neighbors in the event there is a complaint, this is a reccomendation by the AMA, and is expected to be on a case by case basis.
We however OWN our field, and were there for 20 odd years prior to houses getting built around us.
There are always folks flying at odd times, and the occasional overnight event for the star gazers and the like at our place too.
The folks around us understand that we were there first, and have no plans on changing our routine(s), We do however make every attempt to take advantage of quieter mufflers, and not overfly their homes even though it does happen.
Next year we will do a multi-day event with plenty of room for the trailer trash to have serious bonding sessions. :)

Most clubs do, CCRC and DCAM and PCMA There are always some rule that has to go by, for these its a simple no fly before 9 and 12 rule not that big of a deal, DCAM allows electrics to fly cause they can not be heard over at the houses, Cobb used to but not sure about now. when you have houses on the other side of the treeline at end of a runway its hard for ppl not to complain about something
