Govenor Mode - which setting

I have a stock 550 PRO.

The throttle response seems quite dull compared to what others "appear" like on videos. I dont know anyone around here with a 550 so videos are all i have to compare.

Does the govenor mode affect throttle response and effect power output of the motor?

I currently have mine set to OFF. Its either ON or OFF on the standard ESC.

My batteries 2 x 2100's 20C are getting old, perhaps they are lacking punch. I have some new batteries on order.

Which motor do you have? If it is the original stock motor it is NOT very powerful.

Second flight with CF blades and stock motor. Blades helped performance but still is under powered.

Most folks are going to the 1100KV motor or the new Gaui high power motor.
