I have 2 questions, I have been following the forums here for a few months, and FINALLY my V2 should be here tomorrow, the basic questions are 1. would it be good to buy a 430L motor, I will not need the power of the XL motor and this would increase flight time that I NEED. 2. would it be wise to install the youngblood dampers from the get go. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

The stock motor will be fine use the smaller 12 tooth pinion that comes with it. You could get an 11 tooth pinion to drop the headspeed more if you wanted to (cheaper than buying another motor). The stock dampners work pretty good for a couple of months. I would use them up but have a set of Trueblood dampners ready to install.

if you have batteries with a C rating lower then 20 .
then the 430l would be a good idea ....that will save your batteries for a while.
the dampers though...if you never flown before you would want to stick with the stock ones for a while.
the truebloods will make the head stiffer and more responsive
