With my T-Rex currently sidelined due to a dead ESC being replaced under warranty, I decided to do a little shopping for the Blade CP. After an inverted flight that ended on the pavement, it needed repairs... er uh upgrades.

I did the Bell-Hiller mixing upgrade as well as an aluminum swashplate. I also got a fresh pair of motors. Not wanting to build a $600 Blade CP, I didn't go brushless as it is my "backup" heli. At the moment, the only thing from my original Blade purchase is the tail boom, frame and servos. This thing has been rebuilt so many times, it's got at least 9 lives.

I thought I'd take the Blade CP forward to 2.4Ghz land as well. I love the Spektrum DX7 with my T-Rex and thought that those 19 other model memories shouldn't go to waste. I picked up a 3-in-1 and a 6100 receiver. After a little setup, I've got everything programmed and ready to go. Cool.

Now, for the dumb question...
Where are people mounting their 6100s?
Does anyone have a photo that they'd like to share?

For the curious, I used John Adams DX7 setup (http://www.spektrumrc.com/Articles/Article.aspx?ArticleID=1688), but I went my own way on the normal pitch curve as I think his 0 50 100 must be a typo.

If anyone needs a 4-in-1, transmitter, and crystals, mine are both fully operational and in excellent condition. Send me a private message if you'd like to buy them.

i put my 6100 up front same place where the 3n1 and 4n1 went. But since i've gone full separates, i have the 6100 sitting on top of my phoenix10 esc. i think i have seen ppl with the 3n1 sitting on it's side like stock, and the 6100 sitting next to it on it's side as well

i ran my ar6000 with it sitting flat on the little tab in the front where the stock rx and esc was then i had my 20amp bl esc sitting on the ar6000.. i liked the way it made it look not so messy
