Greetings freaks! Just wanted to drop a line to say hello to the Compass section here, I know there is not many Knight guys on here yet, but I'm hoping to change that asap. Just wanted to let you who are know that you can reach me at doctorgoodwrench@aol.com for Knight or whatever other help I may be able to provide. Hope to see everyone at IRCHA in a few days!!

I'd really like to get a K3D but I'm a little worried about Compass Model's longevity. My main concern...will I be able to buy parts in 4-5 years??

I completely understand your concern, I honestly think they will be around for quite a while, they have a pretty strong following in the UK and other countries around the world. I would not let that stop you from giving one a shot, If you are going to IRCHA, I'll let you have a pull on mine. I'm lovin this thing. No Bull.

The following in the UK is not that great as not many LHS stock the heli or the parts and thats a big put off at present.

Well, I dont know what to say, I think they will be around a while, Give them a shot if you like. I know Roger at climb out has them, I understand he is a great guy with excellent product service.

Thanks for the offer Danny, but unfortunately I won't be at IRCHA. I'll have to think about this heli more, but I do know that I want something different than my raptors.

There are several good options out there, keep the knight in mind. Best of luck with whatever you choose.

I think parts wont be a problem specially since heliproz, rcheliworks and mtahobbies stock all parts.
I dont really worry about LHS since around here they never stock anything I am interested in since I stopped flying raptor..
there we go. forgot I had my regular account here =)

While that's true now (and a big plus in my opinion) it may not be true in the long term.

Nobody can say what the future holds, Align may go back to making rice steamers and straw floor mats exclusively. (thats what they were you know)

why do you want to rubish Align for, i don't think its needed. All brands have the good and bad points and at the end of the day its what you like the look of, how it will fly and can you get spares. Oh and how much you want to spend.
damn dont be so sensitive he wasnt bashing align.
He was just saying who knows what they will be doing in the future just like compass could be doing something else in the future.

Why would missing a tea break make a difference, I can't stand tea. Not everyone in the UK drinks tea, that's so working class. ;)

Hey jstnt, I am sure you will be very happy with the knight, If there is any ?'s you may have, feel free to contact me directly. And captcasper, I had the pleasure of hanging out a bit with Roger from Climb-out and I can say he is very happy and confident in the Compass product line. And what a hell of a good guy. Now I just have to go pick up a bottle of that Powers whiskey he turned me onto. lol. Also cant say enough good things about Luke Lau from Hong Kong, the designer who was at ircha as well with his father to rub elbows with all of us. The Compass folks are very open minded to input from the pilots and will make improvements on he drop of a dime to further the products. Says alot about a manufacturer.

I think that young cie is growing quickly and with thoses two models, Knight3D and Aerolus...they are far from bankrupt. I was realy sold to the 600N, even with the problems but since i dicovered the K3D, i am probably going to buy one...I am not affraid for the parts at all.
