Hi, i have a few questions about starters for the t-rex.
1) is there anything wrong with buying a cheap starter, or will i be forced to buy a second, more expensive starter later on? i was planning on buying the cheapest one i can find, its the one at the top of this page: http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/acatalog/FieldAccs_12vStarters.html
does anyone know if there are known problems with this starter, and if there is, can anyone reccomend a better one from that page?

2) do the most starters come with a starter shaft? if not which one will i need to buy?

thats all the questions that i can think of at the moment, but probably wont be the last :).

I got a cheap one cost me about £17.00, but this did not last very long and it struggled to start my new OS 50 Hyper, so I had to get a good one cost me £67.00

This is the one

The Sullivan Starter is very good but if you already have a cordless 12 to 18 volt drill this works very well also, None of my old glow models used hex shaft so I was looking for a quick way to just get it going for the short term, I took a long 6mm hex Allen with a ball end and straightened the bent end and stuck it in the drill, worked so well I am still using it.

If you're gonna get a starter get a decent one the cheap ones don't last. Using a drill works well on the T600N as it has a one way bearing in the starter shaft so you can put a hex drive shaft straight into the drill chuck. Only caveat with the drill and hi-torque starters is that if your engine hydraulic locks it is possible to bend / break the conrod if you turn it over while flooded.
