Right now I have a blade 450, but I've been looking at the mini protos. I already have an SK720, hitec 5056mg's for cyclic, an a hitec 5084mg for tail. The mini protos I'm looking at is the one that comes with esc, motor, an blades. Just wondering if my servos would be good enough for the mini p?

Should be fine, they will perform much the same as they did on the 450.

You'll be fine, go build one  A moment will come when you feel the need for MKS servos. Don't resist :D

I have one Hitec 5065MG cooked on my FBL Rave. This Hitecs served well for 3 years when my Rave was flybarred. Then one servo died right after 25 FBL flights. Now I ordered MKS 92A+. Waiting for delivery.

Yea it would work the only tjing I would upgrDe is the tail servo but mot necessary if u wanted to upgrade the mks 8910a is a good one

So what servos to get

Spektrum H3000 are really nice.

MKS are top notch, but on the expensive side.

Top of the line are MKS DS95s, the 92A+ are a bit slower/cheaper.

People like the H3000s (Savox) or Hitech 5065s which are a bit cheaper still.

Depends on how much you want to spend.

I've been flying Savox SH-0253 and 0257MG on my cyclics earlier, both worked fine and are not expensive. MKS are awesome but expensive.

gonna start building mine soon and I opt for FBL on my mini. At the moment on my lists are:

FBL : M-BeastX...............or......THE BRAIN?!?!

Cyclic : Hitec HS5065MG

Tail: Hitec HS5084MG/Futaba S9257.........emm I wonder if the MKS92A+ can be tail servo?

..........

Not a good idea, people have tried the DS95 that way and it didnt work well at all. Use a servo designed for the tail (DS95i if you can stomach the cost).

I'm also thinking about building a FBL mini. Tell me why I should go MKS over Hitech? Are they really worth paying that much for? Also, why Brain over Beastx?

With regards to electronics, just wandering if a 40a LV Esc will be alright for a 3s mini protos (non stretched)?

Any Info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I have mine with hobbywing platinum 40A and it works with no issues. I fly sport most of the time though. If you are going intensive smack 3d with high head spead, 50+A ESC is a safer bet.

Here's Nick Maxwell flying in his garage and his set up posted at the end of video:clap

Just found some JR servos for sale at a great price. At the end of the video when everything is listed, he is using the CC 50 but in parenthesis it says 6.8v bec. So does that mean he is using the internal bec? There is not an external bec listed so I'm assuming it is fine for these servos or maybe even the CC10a. And, anyone know if the jr tail servo (290) is as good as the bls257?

Also I don't mind getting a separate spektrum receiver if necessary over a sat to run in mini Vbar, 4s stretch.

After some research I would probably use a futaba on the tail. The jr tail servo might be too small.

I've been flying my Mini Protos for 2+ years using JR DS285MG cyclic servos. For most of that time I was using the JR 3500G tail servo, but recently switched to the MKS DS95i (totally worth it!). I've been using the internal BEC on the YGE controller for all combinations with fine results. Unless you go with a full suite of the power-hungry MKS servos, the BEC in the ICE Lite 50 or the YGE will work just fine.

Thanks man, just the answer I have been looking for!
