im just getting started on the hobby and am hooked for life. im flying a trex 450se and getting the hovering down pretty good. I notice that my elevation at about 5 feet still bobs up and down within about 12 inches or so and i have heared that it could be due to the clicks that my transmitter has on the throttle stick. i would like to eliminate them so the stick moves smoothly. does anyone know where i can find the info on how to do this or could anyone helpo me out??

With te 6102, about the only way is to either openthe case, and slip a piece of fuel line tubing over the throttle ratchet spring, or to file off the teeth on the ratchet.

JR doesn't make a smooth spring for the 6102. I tried this one (http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=JRPA636) and while it fits, it doesn't work exactly right. It seems the 6102 throttle wheel isn't actually a part of a circle.

thanks for the input. i ended up sanding off the teeth and that seemed to work well ans i was also able to increase the tension so i wouldnt over throttle. thanks again for the input and happy flying!!
