I can not get internal replacement parts from Spektrum for my DX6 that I purchased on 10/19/06 that is under warranty.
The right control stick has a plastic pawl that broke off inside the
radio.
The pawl provides resistance to keep the stick centered.
I switched the left throttle stick with the right aileron stick and I
have the radio working fine now.
I asked them to warranty and send me a new spare control stick for a spare
incase another pawl were to break.
This is what they said.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this is a Service part only. We do not send the internal parts of radios out for any reason, warranty or sales.
They want me to send the radio to them for any repair.
Sent a Futaba service center the entire correspondence note and asked them if I would be able to get parts for a late model Futaba radio in a similar situation.
They said yes.
I have been pleased with the DX6 performance for 120 hours and was considering upgrading to a DX7.
Not being able to get basic parts to fix it my self will make me reconsider buying one and will look into what Futaba has in a 2.4 GHz system.
