Hi!
I'v just got 3DX450 heli (Trex 450 aftermarket clone) and DX7 Tx. but still have some more electronics to be ordered.

What is the experience with the Emax ESCs if any? Are they reliable? can't find reviews on them!
I am thinking of getting an Emax 60A ESC (good bargin $20 w/ programming card) for my 3DX450, is it suitable or is it too much current for this size?

Will be using 3s battery and sonix brushless motor 3500KV.
So what do you think guys? I am a newbie

Emax 60A ESC specifications:
-Size: 56mm x 28mm x 18mm
-Weight (approximately): 45g
-Sustaining Voltage: (Li-ion/Li-poly: 7.4 - 18.5v)/(NiMh/Nicd: 6.25 - 18.75v)-Discharge Protection: optional
-Current (Continues): 60A
-Current (Burst >10 sec): 80A
-BEC Mode: Switch Mode
-BEC Output: 5v/3A
-User Programmable: Yes

Appreciate your prompt replies, thanks

I have used the smaller 25A ESC from them on a plane. Good soft-start and it worked well. It did a dozen flights on my Trex450XL / 420LF motor in the early days.

Did you ever try using the governor with this ESC? If so did it work well?
