What do you all think about the head after flying it? Where did you get them? Straight from kasama.com or here in the states? thanks

Here is the result.
Feels very solid, no play and very smooth.
Tonight I'm going to optimize the ccpm and tracking.
And fly it as soon as i can :)
I'm happy!

Man that sure looks good. let us know how its flys with that new head, got a few questions for ya.
Where did you order yours from?
What kind of blades are those? they look great, how do they fly?

Thanks

EricW.... Thats really nice looking but I want to know how well it performs. Please give me a full flight review after you sort it all out. Can't wait to hear!!!

Cause i live in the Netherlands I got it from http://www.rcmarket.org/ (Kasama distributor in Europe).
The blades are the official TT carbon blades, bought them at my LHS 2 months ago i believe.
I had tracking problems with them so i had to upgrade the arms anyway, therefore i decided to order the complete Kasama head.
So to say the TT carbons fly great is a little hard when your tracking is going nuts :)
Hope it's spot-on now.
I'm still a beginner when it comes to flying a heli so i'll try to give my best opinion on how it all feels now, wish i could give a expert flying opinion allready ;) but when there's a difference i'll let you know.

goto Kasama.com and click on Download. There's an assembly manual thats in bot English and german.

It flys very solid. The pitch range is wild if you're into that.

Machine work is top notch.

Dont fly your blades very tight or it will wobble.

Worth every penny IMHO

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the tip.
For some reason i can't connect to Kasama.com??
Maybe my Internet provider's fault, i don't know.
Guess i assembled it right, cause it wasn't that hard at all.
They pre-installed the balls wrong on one mixer arm IMO, they should be on the inside on both arms, If you look at the picture in my first post you can see the arm in the bag :)
They did apply loctite btw.
The griparms are tilted slightly up as shown in the Photograph
I used the stock dampers, featheringshaft+washers and 1 set of collars (BK1079) and the linkrods ofcourse.
The fly-bar setup was a bit hard with the two separate arms, to get the flybar centered and the paddles aligned.
The CCPM mixing looks perfect now.

I think the big thing is not to install the delta arms on the grips till you heat up the grips and install the bearings otherwise you are just going to liquify the locktite you just applied.

Send me your email address and I'll email you the pdf if you want it.

I love the Kasama head, I was getting boom strikes from doing Chaos/Piro flips, I even chopped off my tail onces about 50 foot up,.....................it dropped like a dead bird. Before getting the Kasama head I would also wear out the stock plastic head and the red dampners, and now I havent changed the dampners in a long time. The Kasama head clamps onto the shaft tight so there is no more slop.

hehe...um.......as Eric pointed out in his email........

I was talking about the Raptor 50 head. Sorry, I surf by most recent posts and just saw the Kasama in the header, not the fact we were in the electric forum....

But since we are, I have a mini titan waiting to be built :)

with the Kasama head do you still have to use spacer's for non TTR blade's ...like Radix,V's,etc.

EricW
08-09-2007, 11:59 AM
No :),

The TT carbons needed a 1mm (or 2x 0.5 mm) spacer in the stock plastic grips, I believe that's the same for Radix and others.
My carbons fit perfect in the Kasama grips without spacers.

Is it possible to order directly from Kasama? I can't seem to find any of dealers in the U.S. that carry it yet.

Try Grand RC. They have them in stock for $200.00 and free shipping. Mine is finally on the way.

BTW - They are also one of the few dealers that regularly stock E-Raptor frame parts.

I get top notch service from them.

You must be talking about the Raptor 50 head. I bought one of those a few weeks ago for $200.00. Their website does not show the mini titan head.
