dn power 2cell 900ma lipo. this is give you the added power your looking for and a slightly longer run time...it comes with a adapter to use with the stock eflite charger

When I tried it, it didn't work so well, after about quarter throttle the cx (not cx2) went all spastic and crapped out

I have two 3 cell li-po batteries that I have for my CP, I'm not planning to buy anymore
So I just wanted to know if I could use them.
Thanks anyway

oh ok well then ya you just fried something...
i have a pro pulse 1/18 scale 4wd buggie from radio shack . its a knock off rc18.. i gotta lucky when i plugged my 3s eflite pack into it.. i figured it would spaz out and go out in a puff of smoke.. but nope it loved it... you gotta be careful most times electronics are designed to handle x amount but they can handle more then that just not for along time..

My CX still flies with the 2s 800, so nothing fried. I don't really feel a need to fly my CX any more now that I have a kick a$$ CPP. Just look at any other 2s battery, anything that can be charged with the stock e-flite charger- ask txflyer about that, he knows. don't go any higher than about 900mah though, that should give you pretty long flight times and good power with a CX2

My buddy just tried one of my CP batteries in his CX2 and it work fine but had a tone of power.
I was just wondering if he should or not.

If nothing fries I guess it's ok, but be careful and I would probably go with a 7.4v 900mah or something like that instead of an 11.1v

whiel going from 7.4 to 11.1 will give a ton of power. you dont always have to increase the cell count.. the power and run time of a 900ma 2s lipo against a lets for example 15002s lipo.. will be pretty big, longer run times and the higher the ma the more punch it has.
take a off road rc truck with a 2s 1500 pack and then run that same truck and same setup with a 2s 3500 pack.. huge difference..

Just fly your cp man, and unless you want to have a fun heli to fly on the side, like me :D then learn to hover from all sides on your CP, maybe do a loop or 2 and then get a rex

Be carefull not to over discharge battery. The ESC is already very weak and would not recommend 11.1V
by the time the CX feels sluggish it might be too late
bigger battery not solution but a higher C rated battery will perform miracles for CX

DON't do it! You will fry the ESC/Receiver! The fet(s) are too fragil for that much voltage.I tried it, I know.

I have used my stock bcpp lipo battery (11.1v 800 mah) in my cx about15 or 20 times .As far as i can tell no damage has occured from it. It definetly does fly longer & w/ some added punch . I dont recomend it , I do it but i it is my experament & i love to see exactly what it can take.

If you have a few spare 3s packs and cant use them anymore for whatever reason, take them to your LHS and have them make you a few 2s packs out of them.
