I just want o know your opinion of what is the best cyclic pitch on the Trex nitro.. 7? 8?

i have mine at a bind bind setup and 2100RPM on the head with vpaddles and the stock flybar length (not sure if its 440mm)

i think that may be around 9-10 degrees cyclic if its bind bind.

How do you measure the cyclic range ?

How do you measure the cyclic range ?

You will need to watch Finless Videos, I think its in Trex SE CCPM - PART 1 & 2

Very good info.

see this link, it covers pitch through to cyclic

And click on PitchSetupHR.wmv

Thanks for the great sources and reply. As far as I know, the Finless video does not cover how to measure the cyclic . I should check it again. Thanks guys !!!!

in a nutshell, you check it just like regular collective pitch, but you set the collective to 0° and deflect the aileron or elevator and read the gauge.

here's the way i do it:

1) put your collective at 0°

2) put your pitch gauge on your main blades

3) for Aileron rotate the main blades so they are facing front to back, i.e. running parallel with the boom.

3a) deflect your aileron control (mode 2 right stick left/right) full stick.

3b) adjust your aileron mix until you get 7° (or whatever)

4) for Elevator rotate the mains so they are facing side to side, i.e. perpendicular to the boom.

4a) deflect your elevator control (mode 2 right stick front/back) full stick.

4b) adjust your elevator mix until you get 7° (or whatever)

note: if your swash is level and linkages all set properly, you should get +/-7° automatically by setting the mix only. just make sure you have your collective at 0° when you start or you'll get odd readings. for example, on my 5-point pitch curve, i usually set my middle three points at 0° so i don't have to fiddle with the collective stick to find 0°...there will be a big 'dead band' in the middle confirming you are at 0°.
