So finally started the BeastX tuning process and immediately baffled by the tail. I've been through this whole thing before on a T-Rex 450 Pro, and if I can get that tail to stick, the Protos should be cake!

Started out at all defaults, gain about 64% or so? Usually a good starting point from my experience. Immediately noticed wag, went back, lowered gain a bit, triple checked head setup as blade tracking was off a bit. Back in the air, tracking is spot on, but tail wag is unchecked. Continue lowering until I hit 58% in the DX6i, bump Param D up to High (blue flashing), no difference, at all.

Pitch slider is super smooth, tail grips rotate freely, slider looks good at neutral rudder, not obviously out of whack, etc. Ball is 11mm out on the tail servo arm (DS520).

Headspeed sounds OK, about the same as my T-Rex, but no super accurate way for me to measure it at this point. I'm running MSH Scorp 880kv with 14t pinion at 88% flat throttle curve. Pretty sure the gov is not enabled on the ICE, but I don't have the castle link so no way to be sure.

I attempted to get my wife to capture the wag on video, it didn't turn out the best, but she hates my Heli's so it was pushing it to get her to hold the iPhone for less than a minute.

Tips on where to start looking are appreciated :)

I think you may be going the wrong way on your gain. Probably needs to be lower. I run mine on low (parameter d). Both of my Protos are at 60-70%. Good luck finding the problem

Took a closer look at the tail and specifically the tail pulley. The pulley was an 18t, so I pulled it and put the 20t spare on, set param D back to red, gain at 64%, spooled her up and wag is gone.

Only small concern is the belt seems rather tight now, with very little room for adjustment, but not over tight, I don't think. Anyways I ran out of daylight so I'll continue the BeastX setup tomorrow.
