Hi!

I can get a pair of Kokam 3200mAh/3S1P/30C/2C Recharge Lipoīs. I can squeeze them under
the canopy but with them, the whole Hurricane weight 2440gramm (600g the two Lipos).

Therefore, iīm not sure if should buy them from my buddy (because of rain i cant test them in
a flight)

Any experience with such heavy batteries?

Heimo

Do I uderstand correctly that your Hurricane weighs 1840gr without lipo's?? Mine weighs that with two heavy (200gr) hextronic batteries. What did you strap on that thing??

I'd be interested to know how it turns out if you do try them. I've been looking at those kokam batteries as well. Size wise there on the edge off what will fit.

OK.....i did a testflight!

My Hurri has 2440gramm with a 2800mAh BEC battery and the two 3300mAh konion lipos.
After 7min flighttime without any 3d action (i cant) but with several fast lifts i had 2050mAh to
recharge. I think, with 9min iīm on the safe side with that Konionīs.
The Konionīs fitīs easy below the canopy and the CG is also very well.

I bought them!

Like music to my ears :)
The kokams are relatively cheap, I found them in Austia in fact at 84 euro a piece so I'm condidering them for my hurri. I'm realy curious how they fit...

Its late; but here they are ;)
Hope, you see "something"; there is a 280 pixel of width limit.

I pretty much just got done putting my hurricane together and just wanted to post a pic of how i have the battery mounted. I hear about people making a battery tray for the bottom battery for 3300's. Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.... Also is it bad practice to use zip ties to secure packs? Im using

TP 3S 3300MAh 25c

The heli balances great with where they are and the canopy has no trouble fitting.

Also another thing is i slipped a zip tie between a servo and the fram (on the bottom pack). It doesnt interfere with any servo movement and doesnt budge from its spot... but i was also wondering if that is also something that should be avoided.

Thanks Heimo!
How's the balance with those batteries? Does the canopy fit, I can't see if the bottom canopy hook is clear in the pictures Did you have to move around stuff to get it to balance??

Hi!

Balance is here much better than with 2x2100 batteries. Its easy, to fix the canopy on the heli and the canopy will not damaged. Hook is in the right position to hold the canopy. More or less its the same easy way to fix the two large batteries as two smaller one. But i think, this size is maximum.
