My question is:

I have a physically very large( Futaba FP-R138DP 8-channel Dual-Conversion PCM Receiver),
and a (Futaba R156F 6 Channel Micro Rx.) (PPM)

I will be putting it in my new Align T-Rex 450-SA (aluminum frame).

Which one should I use? Thanks!!

Either of them will work just fine!
Range coverage is enough by both of 'em.
Both fit well.
Also the pins on the receiver are mounted vertical in the pcm and horizontal in the PPM (related to the base of the Rx). You will see that it is a lot easier to work with the wires with the vertical pins. (Even if you mount the 'huge receiver" on one side)

However the PCM has clear advantages of safety, resolution and response time over the PPM. But it could be a bit more difficult to extend the antenna of the PCM being longer.

IMO if you feel that this model is important for you choose the PCM. If you planing in getting another bigger and more expensive model (may it be a Plank or a Heli) install the R156 in the Rex as it will do just fine and use the safer in the most expensive. (Notice that the range of action is lower on the micro receivers, but this will cover more than enough for the rex)

Enjoy!

I have a R156F 72 mhz receiver in my 450 and it looks like it is fried.

What is the best most cost effective way to get another reciever that will hopefully work with my 6EXHP remote and existing crystals.

Thanks:arggg:
