The Banshee website has an announcement that the intitial 50 kits are sold. If I'm surprised about anything is that it didn't happen sooner.

Yea, I dont see lowering the quality of the metals used or really anything in the design that could be done without. The only ways of making it cheaper would be to make a lot of them and/or not ship them assembled.

No idea. It's pure conjecture at this point. It's just the way they worded it but that could be the translation. I would think that the parts game might be a little slow with 50 owners. If they make more then we have a better chance of getting parts for years to come.

some of you have not only the "banshee-bling" syndrom - it's more a generally desease!
I just know about more than 5 very special "bling" drives into banshee, like these 4540 scorpions:

may be, it's only a rumour, but I heard about a whisper, that the scorpion factory will make a very special 4535 with 4+4 x 1,8YY - also with some (scorpion)-bling on their housings.;)

you read it wrong!
its only a "nachrücker" (moving up?) -list.
means, if someone of the 50 persons on the "normal" list will retire, you can get this heli.

So, not the initial 50 kits sold but the initial 50 owners defined. If anyone bails out, some new name will get in, but the 50 Banshees are that, 50.

Today a few users have been deleted from the Banshee board.
I know for sure one user, which was not able to pay for his Banshee. Maybe some helis are available again.
Who still wants one, should write an email to Banshee.
