Hi

I had my maiden voyage of my 600N today, ran just over under a gallon of fuel through my new YS50.
The engine with a CY MP50 ran perfectly right from being cranked over for the first time.
This Heli is superb just like my 600E but with loads of noise:)

Came to a bit of an abrupt end though when I noticed as the heli was close in to me that there was a problem with one of the boom supports.
Its seems that the metal had just sheared off mid flight.
It was just hovering with a little bit of ordinary flying thrown in as well just to try to that engine ran in.

Any else had this part fail without a crash or contact with the ground being involved?

I have had three of them fail in the same fashion. I replaced them with the older tyoe for the E (no locking pin) and none of those have failed.

To me it look like you have a bad part. I had the same thing happen on one of my 600E. I was doing hovering and the right boom support just let go. Lucky for me the rod stay up so I could land the 600E safe.
I say, replace the part and go have more fun.

Yeah I agree with that,I just ordered the replacement part and some more fuel and I can get to it again.
Glad some others have had the same thing happen through.

Those of you that have had this failure, are you all running with the ally tail fin brace?

Thats a good question - maybe it needs the plastic part to absorb some of the vibrations that the ali part can not.
I`d be interested on how many have failed with the upgrade brace as well.
