Is anyone using a futaba 6ex2.4 gh radio w/ the stock 3 in1. i am trying to set it all up. I was hoping to use the on off switch that came w/ the radio, but am finding that the e-flite setup has nothing plugged into the battery port of the reciver. If anyone has figured this situation out id really apreciate your info. Thanx in advance

your rx shoudl get is power from the esc bec.. wise thing would be to grab a brushless setup and a small brushed esc for the tail..

Your right i should .I was really trying to get it in the air today .Its been about 2 months since i last flew it & decided i needed to try a new radio. Due to the fact i was smart enough to leave my multimeter at work,Istarted pulling connectors till the rx stoped working looks like it recives power from either rudder & or throttle lead from esc. depending on wich is plugged in at the timethat alone puts the switch out of play. Unless i solder it in . anyways looks like ill be down a bit longer. But on the positive side .IM GOING BRUSHLESS! thx

the tail is going to kick out more with a brushless system, iyou get like the pixie 20p from castle creations for the tail it pretty gets rid of the tail drift, and you only get a few inches of kick from the tail when you punch the throttle.. if you have a g90 gyro you only need one bec so you gotta pull the red whire out of the esc plug that goes into the gyro when you get the tail esc.. the on off switch isnt worth those actually rob power...

I believe that the receiver can get power from any channel. You can plug a battery (or BEC from an ESC) into any slot and it should work.

Well I did get it in the air w/out needing any more new parts. flew about the same as before . Then i came across these settings in another forum. They worked very well 4 me . Just incase someone else goes to a setup like mine . It now has such a better feel to it . I do feel confident enough to go to the brushless setup now. Thanx for all your help.
