Hi, i have the xp6102 with the dx6 2.4ghz module upgrade, and a AR6000 rx with GY401 gyro. Could anyone help me with setting up the gyro on the tx? So far i have idle-up on the top left and throttle hold on the top right.
Is it possible to change the gain on the gyro with my remote?
Or could i switch between HH and normal mode on the gyro?

Thanks!

Use the gear channel for remote gain. Here are the settings I used for my switches - Switch Select in main menu (down & select on power up):

D/R COM ELEV
GEAR AILE D/R
FL-M LEFT SW

Just use the travel adjust on the gear channel to set gain for both HH and rate (flip switch up to adjust + value, down to adjust -. See Finless vids for 401 setup - they explain in more detail but this will help u get it going on JR since he uses Futaba.

Where can i find the finless vids? I looked on youtube and did a quick search of this site for them...
When i am adjusting the +ve and -ve values now, what am i actually doing? What are these values changing?
Thanks

Here's the main area for Finless vids:

And here is the 401 setup vid:

Which was from this page:

The two values selected for the switch positions will correspond to HH and rate gains. This is explained in that vid (I think Bob even draws a little picture to help :D) . Even though the gear channel is assigned to a switch, which you would typically associate with two possible values, it actually sends the same type of signal used to represent a servo position (say 1024 values). When interpreting this signal, the gyro divides this range into two halves: one representing rate gain, and the other representing HH gain.

When you flip a switch, it toggles between the extremes of the channel's values (0 for switch off, 1024 switch up), so by lowering the amount of travel for that channel, you thereby change the value sent on that channel for a given switch position.

So if 0-512 represents 100%-0% rate gain and 513-1024 represents 0%-100% HH gain, Leaving the travel values at -100% [switch off] to +100% [switch on] (0 and 1024 respectively using our example) will result in the gyro being in rate mode at 100% gain with the switch off and HH with 100% gain with the switch on. We reduce the travel to put the gain values somewhere reasonable.
