Hey Guys
Any one know how to turn off the annoying keystroke beep on the DX7?
Its driving me, and more importantly the wife mad, especially when i sit with her in front of the TV playing with my new Toy!
Cheers Guys

I asked Spektrum the exact same thing. The answer is no. The only way to do is to actually disconnect the speaker. Not sure where it is but, have heard people doing it. I'm sure it will void the warranty.

HAHA! I had a 7202 before my DX7. That beep is so F&*(#@& annoying! I tried taking the Tx apart to see where the speaker is but gave up after a few minutes of searching. I wouldn't mind the beep if maybe it only went off when I actually changed a setting or something. But, every time you move through a menu or something, BEEP BEEP BEEP. Maybe, I'll search for it again and just wire up a resistor in series so I can at least make it less annoying.

I've read somewhere that someone inserted some foam or something between the speaker and the casing of the TX. Hope this helps. I'm just buying a DX7 so can't confirm but i think it's a good idea and i might do that too.
Best regards,

The foam thing was my suggestion. It works great and it's easy to do. Pop the back of the Tx off. The speaker is soldered to the "vertical" PC board in between the gimbals and it sits in the open area just below the Spectrum logo on the Tx front. I just took some 1/4" receiver foam and stuffed a piece in just being the little "grille" there and it quieted it down quite a bit.
While you're in there, you can get rid of the ratcheting throttle too. :)
