After seeing the German team at IRCHA I was simply amazed. These guys really showed what the Mikado is capable of. The power and agility of the new 600 is amazing. It made every other heli look like it was in slow motion. Its time for me to start planning for my next heli.... its a pretty short list now
:noteworthy Great flying from everyone on the Mikado team!!!!

You know, I like what I've seen of the Logo in the vid's, and am sorely tempted. From what I understand they go together with no issues, which would be a treat for once.
But then I remember that I am me afterall, and until Mikado parts come down a bit it's probably best I stay away.:hammer

I am building my first Mikado - the Logo 5003D and I am impressed, very easy to build - Look forward to the initial test flights.

What gear issue are you referring to?

I think there may be an issue with the motor mount if you overtighten it. I've heard of using larger washers and pay attention not to wrench down on it to hard. Those that have overtightened it say the gears don't run true. Doesn't like much of an issue to me.

OK based on what I saw and learned you WILL want the metal motor mount upgrade PERIOD. After that based on what I saw at IRCHA you should be good if you adjusted the gears properly.
As for cost of parts I have to agree. This will be a show stopper for many in the USA.... BUT HEY... Go buy a Vibe 90 or a Hirobo Lepton and compare! If you want quality you sometimes have to pay for it. Not that I condone the parts prices and would like to see them come down but not every heli is made in Taiwan or China!
Bottom line after seeing this heli basically DOMINATE IRCHA I want one PERIOD!

Shawn did a brief review on his Logo 5003D and has some things to say about the gear situation. You can read his review here. http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=41443
When the metal motor mount comes out I will be getting one just to cut out extra hassle.

Well they did and Rumor and Jetsin ROCKED the house flying wise.
Look..... I always say a good pilot can make "a crap heli" look good but if you know what your are watching (not always viewable in a video and you DO have to be there) you can also see how well a heli flys and listen to it. Seriously and I don't think for a minute anyone that was there would argue..... The new Logo's ROCKED IRCHA period!
Seriously I was impressed not only by the team pilots flying skills but how the heli's sounded and how they performed! FAST and POWERFUL! There is no question Mikado BROUGHT IT at IRCHA this year!

I watched the demo they did at 5pm on Saturday and it was amazing. I don't know the pilot but there was one flying a Logo 14 that was incredible. It had so much power and sustained it for the entire flight. He crashed pretty hard at the end and it didn't look like that much damage. Anyone know who this was and how much damage the heli sustained?
I was there, like many of the rest of you, and I couldn't agree more with Bob. He makes no exggeration when he says Team Mikado DOMINATED IRCHA. They were just plain awesome!
Ron
Hope we could see a cheaper vbar system too. If they were priced at $500 they would fly off the shelfs.
logos still fly great without a v-bar, but the tail gyro on it is a 611 beater, and the extra power is something else!
after flying a L500 with and without flybar, there is no doubting, the v-bar is better, but the standard flybar is still awesome

Unfortunately I made the mistake of looking at the parts prices. It seems Mikado reversed the price cuts made to the Logo 10 parts. Sorry but $35/side for the frames and $35 for a main shaft is a bit extreme. The mainshaft for my Avant is only $25.
