I have all the parts I need to install a .50 into my .30v2,.... except the boom and the belt. I've got the gears, the mount, etc.
Can I install the engine now anyway, or must I have the new boom?
Can I fly it with all the .30 blades and gearing, or must I go all the way (boom, belt, blades, gears?)
Thanks

i know of 1 guy who had a .50 in a 30 machine w/ all 30 parts minus gearing and mount. It was balistic but they were using something like 35-% around hover and 55% at full throttle with 11* of high pitch...
Its possible but when u do switch everything over you'll be doing alot of setup again.
personally i would just wait and do it right the first time.

Thanks for the reply
Thing is I'm trying to decide on exactly WHICH .50, I like them all, and as far as I'm concerned would like one of each in my hangar. That being said, the Raptor .50 is near the top due to support at the field, the Pantera .50 (pretty local to me), and the TRex 600n wrap up the top 3. The raptor also has an advantage as I have many parts, but I really want CCPM, and don't want to pay to convert the Raptor. I'll be starting with a fresh kit regardless, so some decision making has got to happen I guess. I kind of enjoy the set-up as it's what tailors the machine to the pilot (in my opinion), so regardless of what I decide I'll be setting everything up from scratch.
Thanks again, kind of figured I'd have to bring the throttle curve WAY down
