Anyone know of stiffer head dampeners for the E4 Advance FBL? The orange KDBB Trex 450 Pro dampeners are much too small.

you can apparently put the KBDD dampers in before the stock orings and it will work...
another mod i've heard of is gluing the stock orings together with CA?

Haven't heard of any aftermarket dampers

I have the KBDD Orange dampers in followed by two stock O rings on both sides of the head. After 40 flights, the head is still solid.

I was messing around with the Beam fbl head trying to remove the slop that comes stock! What I found and its easy to verify, is the feathering shaft is machined incorrectly.
Even with the end bolts tight the grips can move around. If you remove one thousandth from each side of the feathering shaft it gets tight with no slop with the stock o-rings.Align feathering shaft part no.H45021ta is already the right dimension without mod.

I had a recent blade strike so I decided to replace the feathering shaft. This time I used Trublood Engineering red dampeners. I must say that since they are softer they appear to fill the feathering shaft cavity much more than the KBDD dampeners (dampers?). I have to say that these new dampeners appear to have significantly reduced the vibrations in the Beam E4. I guess some of the improvement could be ascribed to a newer and "true-er" feathering shaft as well. Bottomline: it flies great. I can't help but think that the E4 with a Mini Vbar makes the perfect CP training heli. :bacon

I put an extra spacer between the stock dampers and the grips. It is a little too tight, but flies great. I will try the shorter spindle on my next rebuild. Thanks for the tip
