I have a Logitech 6100 gyro and tail servo on my T-Rex 600 E. The performance is outstanding. I have Futaba 401's on my T-Rex 450 and Raptor 50. The performance is good but not in the same league. I also put a Logitech 6100 and servo in my Lepton with the Readyheli CF tail blades. I don't feel the Logitech performs the same magic on the Lepton as it does on my bigger heli.

So here's the point... I'm replacing my Raptor 50 with a T Rex 600N and I feel like I should put the Logitech 6100 in that and move the 401 with a full size servo to the Lepton to get the best performance out of all my helis. Is a Logitech 6100 (or Futaba 611 etc.) overkill on a small light heli like the Lepton?

I mostly notice the difference between gyros when flying backwards or doing piros while moving fast or in strong wind. I have to stay on the rudder stick with the Lepton even with that Logitech combo. I hate to think I'm so vain that now I gotta sell my 401 and get another "Top of the line" gyro! Thanks

First off... I go to sea and people stop answering questions with known answers... Anyway. I would put the logictech on the lepton if you have even a mildly agressive setup. The 401/9254 setup is not fast enough for the lepton. On the other hand my setup drifted to 3200rpm +14/-8 (5s3700 FPEVO25/Jazz/Kora15-14/20T) and the logictech 6100 held even on a full punchout and that was some purely insane power. The Logictech is one amazing gyro. Also I'm sure you know that a GY611 won't fit on the lepton as there is no where to mount the amplifier box. I'd also upgrade the tail servo on the 450 to one of the new fast digital tail servos from JR or Futaba and you'll notice that the tail holds much better. I put the JR one on mine and it is finally able to fly backwards without the tail kicking out. Unfortuantely as I said I've been out to sea for a few months and won't be back for a few more so I've forgotten the model numbers. Good luck.
