If you run out off places to plug in and need a place to plug in the bec then you need a "Y" servo connector to get another socket.

Plug the ESC to the BEC, connect the leads to the batt wires and connect the BEC to the rx.

Not all BECs are set up to be plugged inline.

Dimension Engineering ParkBEC and SportBEC are designed this way.

He needs to clarify which BEC is he using. The sport BEC, CC's and most others are designed be plugged inline. The align ones(3A and 6A) are not true BEC's but voltage regulators but can be configured to be used as a BEC.

CC is not installed inline. It only has connections for battery and Rx.

Aligns (and others) are properly only voltage regulators, because they do not eliminate a battery (BEC = Battery Eliminator Circuit). They require a 2S (maximum) flight battery in addition to the main battery running the heli.

The ParkBEC, SportBEC and Castle can be used as a voltage regulator or BEC, since they will work with up to 6S to 8S, so can be connected to the main flight pack or used with a separate flight pack.
